Shuttaford Barns - Modern Rustic Barns in Dartmoor Valley / Devon Branding Photoshoot

Shuttaford Barns are two modern rustic barns in the Dartmoor Valley in South Devon, available for booking for a cosy getaway to the Southwest of England. A few years ago I had the very great pleasure of photographing both barns and the surrounding farm to create a series of images that the owner Fran could use on their website, social media, Airbnb and guest guidebook to promote the barns.

We knew that our shoot was not only an opportunity to professionally photograph all the spaces for hire, but to also include lifestyle images that would create more of an atmosphere and encourage potential guests to want to book the barns. I mean, who wouldn’t love a cosy fire pit right outside your barn door for romantic evenings with a glass of wine? Absolute heaven.

I loved photographing this cosy retreat, it was such a fun and creative experience working alongside the owner to style and shoot all the spaces. I would love to photograph more interiors and cabin hideaways, especially when we add such a wonderful lifestyle element to it to really tell the story of a place and create some romantic, emotive images to show how it can be used. Doesn’t it just make you want to dive in? Sheepskins, red wine, a smoky fire pit, a hot bath and a curl up with a favourite book or magazine. Yes please!
